Established in 1978, Birth To Three is a nationally recognized model for parenting education and support. Birth To Three serves residents of Lane County through a variety of unique and professionally recognized services such as its “Make Parenting a Pleasure” curriculum, parent support and education groups, “Crecer” for Spanish-speaking families, a teen parent program, Welcome Baby services and Healthy Start are only part of Birth To Three’s services. In addition to its direct services, Birth To Three’s staff serve as respected trainers and consultants worldwide.

Central Oregon Family Resource Center - Deschutes County

Central Oregon Family Resource Center,

The Family Resource Center will offer best practice parenting curricula to families in Deschutes County. The Center has a long history of family support and parenting services through the center. This project supports the program services which include parent education classes, discussion networking groups, short parent education learning opportunities and the Central Oregon 2-1-1 information and referral call center.

New Parent Services of Hood River County - Hood River County

The Next Door, Inc.,

New Parent Services offers an array of child abuse prevention and family support services to parents with children 0-8 year of age in Hood River, including parenting classes, case management, in-home visitation, play groups, Children’s Closet and Welcome Baby Visits. New Parent Services provides the county’s Healthy Start Program in English and Spanish.

Parent Education & Support Training - Clackamas County

Camp Fire USA, Mt Hood Council,

Intensive home visitation and parenting classes/groups are offered to pregnant and parenting parents who reside in Clackamas County. Referral to health care, housing, education, mental health and substance abuse treatment is available. Grant funds support prenatal education, outreach work to teens and first-time fathers, and extend Spanish language curriculum. “Brown bag” lunch presentations will offer community members the availability of parenting courses and the Family Education and Support Network website.

PAT Home Visitation Program - Grant County

Families First Parent Resource Center,

This project seeks to extend the popular Parents As Teachers (PAT) home visitation services to all families who desire to participate. PAT is an evidence-based curriculum effective in geographic rural areas where social isolation and transportation are challenges for families to participate in services.

Project Baby Check - Josephine County

Siskiyou Community Health Center,

Home visits, medical screening, and weekly support groups are offered to high-risk parents with multiple risk factors in isolated rural areas of Illinois Valley and Josephine County. Program provides medical case management, which includes well-child exams and immunizations in conjunction with the social/ emotional/educational services of the home visitor utilizing the Parents As Teachers curriculum.

Strengthening Family Ties - Wallowa County

Building Healthy Families,

Strengthening Family Ties is designed to increase parent understanding and response to age-appropriate behavior; encourage positive, healthy parent-child interactions; and strengthen families. It offers 7 different evidence-based parenting education programs individually and in group settings in various rural areas in Wallowa County. The agency also offers intensive home visitation through Healthy Start and Family Support and Connections.

Young Parents’ Program/New Parent Network - Washington County

Oregon Human Development Corporation (OHDC),

Program focuses on young, high-risk parents in surrounding Hillsboro with an emphasis on Hispanic families. The program offers home visits, intensive case management, guidance, support, advocacy and referral services in order to ensure greater parental competencies, more stable home environments and a reduction in risk for child abuse in high need families.
