Our Vision, Mission & Values
The Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon is a statewide 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused exclusively on the issue of child abuse prevention and strengthening Oregon’s at-risk families.
OUR VISION is to see every Oregon child safe, healthy and nurtured, and every parent—especially those most vulnerable—with access to child development knowledge, resources, and the supports they need to be the best parent possible.
OUR MISSION is to foster healthy child development and to support efforts to protect children in Oregon.
OUR VALUES define how we work together to end child abuse in Oregon. They include:
PARTNERSHIP: We work in collaboration and coordination with service providers, state agencies, and other leaders in the field of child well-being. Partnerships are built on the basis of mutual respect for the roles, strengths and contributions of each entity working towards strengthening families and protecting and nurturing Oregon’s children.
RESEARCH-BASED: We believe in utilizing the latest science of prevention to inform and guide funding decisions, strategic approaches, and advocacy positions.
STEWARDSHIP: We value every resource dedicated to the mission of the organization. Resources are used efficiently and to their highest possible benefit for kids in Oregon.
PRIORITY INVESTMENTS: We prioritize the needs of children and families in order to maximize our opportunities for the state’s future. We place particular emphasis on the needs of children under the age of six.
RESULTS-ORIENTED: Our work is only beneficial as it produces positive results for children and families in Oregon. We focus our own outcomes and the outcome of our funded partners to ensure we can measure meaningful progress towards the mission and vision of the organization.
