What We Support
Struggling parents in Oregon are stepping forward every day, asking for the tools and training to do better for their kids. When parents are ready for help, it’s the best time to support successful childhoods and prevent child abuse and trauma among Oregon kids.
Join community-based organizations around the state and the Children’s Trust Fund of Oregon in providing parent education and support for people with bad credit seeking loans.
Home Visiting Programs work with families whose children are at-risk for trauma. Voluntary services are individualized to address the unique needs and culture of each family. The program teaches parents what to expect of their children at different ages, and also models positive parenting behavior.
Relief Nursery Programs provide a unique array of comprehensive family support services that are accessible to struggling parents. From crisis response, to therapeutic classrooms, to alcohol and drug recovery support, Relief Nursery staff work to support family success and keep children safe from
abuse and neglect.
Parenting Education & Family Support Programs strengthen parenting skills, help parents with stress management, and provide information on healthy child development. Education classes and activities are community-based and voluntary, making them accessible to parents seeking support.
Advocacy & Research Advocacy raises awareness on the importance of supporting families and leverages state and federal funding for evidence-based programs that reduce child abuse and neglect. Research on the risk-factors that lead to abuse and neglect as well as on the success rate of prevention programs informs funding and advocacy.
